What it is yall?!?!? Just got back from the trip to Denmark and Germany...so~~ as I munch on Haribo Gummies and while its all still real fresh in my mind, its blog time...

The journey started with an overnight flight from Singapore to Denmark, which is never fun in cattle class (budget restrictions = no business class) So Monday morning with my back aching and tired as fuck, I arrived in the great town of Esbjerg, Denmark...I guess if I were to describe the place in one word, "quaint" would be my choice. Not much more to say then that. Beyond the weather being real nice, Middle Earth type scenery, and 7am to 3pm shifts in the office, I guess Denmark was kinda what you would expect from a Scandi country. Next time I will have to check out Copenhagen...but if you are into the slow life, Esbjerg could be your spot!

Spent 4 days in Esbjerg taking care of some business then darted out of that piece with the quickness on Thursday night for Frankfurt, Germany. Man do I love Germany. The place has never done me wrong, and this time was no exception. The German portion of the trip can be broken down into 3 parts...Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

1. Friday
As this was a business trip, Friday started out with a day in the office. Took care of some major open topics at the headquarters just so I could go into the weekend feeling fresh and mind off of work! So it really starts after 5pm, when I got a pickup service from my two good friends Jochen and Sarah. They came and swooped in that A-Cl~ass Benz, baller steaz!! (As a background: Jochen and Sarah did their internships in Singapore last year, and we kicked it tough in Sing Sing so it was only fitting that we carry on the tradition in Germany. I will also from here on out refer to Jochen by his proper name, Joey Germany or Joey G for short.) So we hopped in the Benzo and were out!!

The Bosch headquarters is in Karlsruhe, and the party we were headed to was in Stuttgart about an 1hr away on the autobahn, and good chance to do a little catching up....ye~~AH!!! Once in Stuttgart we did the standard beer and liquor run, and headed to our friend Florians(another intern) pad. Thus the drinking of 1ltr Weissbier begins!!! Soon after more former interns came over to the party: the homies Heike and Sonja came thru ready to party, and the dope part was Sonja came thru with some home made Maultaschen (German Ravioli) and some potato salad. Thats some true Swabian pride...(the Maultasche was bomb.de) now with some food in the gut, it was time for more dranking, but not before the arrival of the VIP guest of the night.

The one and only Mike E. aka The Biz aka The Hurricane aka E-bizzle was in the building, and he came ready to party the whole damn weekend. The fun level just got kicked up a notch. Mike is the big homie from Seattle, and is based in Germany right now with the military..but no more of that talk cause I might get sniped...its a matter of national security son. Anyway, with the arrival of the The Biz it was time to change it up to some Vodka Bulls. There was a long night ahead of us and some power boost was much needed.

A few or more drinks and a private dance party session at the apartment meant we were ready to take our act to the big leagues. Party bus to the Clubs! From here gets a little fuzzy so I wont speak much on it, but dancing, drinking, and doner kebab all went down...and for some *cough* Mikey *cough* all went out as well. However, Mikey did come correct by hooking it up with a hotel room in the city center so we were only a stumble away to get back home from the clubs. No memory beyond this point...

2. Saturday
Waking up around noon with a splitting headache I looked around at the aftermath from Friday night that had spilled over into the hotel room. The place was trashed with litter from all the mini bar snacks, cigis, and empty drinks. Sweet! The miracle of hotels is that the mess is always taken care by someone else. Mikey woke up around the same time and in real good soldier fashion, without saying a word, walked over to the mini bar to pour himself a vodka OJ....well done Biz, well done. Me, I didnt have the courage to take on drinks quite yet but was dying for some sort of liquid. So I take a look into what they got in stock in the mini bar, and to one of the most pleasant surprises find a glowing bottle of Arizona Green Tea w/ Ginseng and Honey (seriously top 5 moments of the whole trip) I used to live on this stuff in my chiefing days...so proper

A green tea for me, and Mike was on his fourth drink by the time Joey and Sarah came to pick us up. The plan was to take the party from Stuttgart and hit up Joeys home town of Schorndorf! Schorndorf is about 20 minutes away from Stuttgart so I didnt have to hang in the car that long with the massive hangover, of course Mike was just loving life. Once there I had to play catch up to Mikey and so did Joey G...so a quick walk tour thru town with the end destination being the beer garden. Woot woot.

I am a firm believer in the beer garden. What can beat drinking a nice cold beer out in the sun on a relaxing Saturday? You're right...nothing. One of Joeys friends Frodo came by and threw some brews back with us. I realize now, the best cure for a hangover is more alcohol...cause instantly I was cured and ready to go again. A few Weissbiers some Schnitzel and we were all in high spirits and pumped to go watch the Champions League Final (Bayern vs Inter)...good time to be in Germany!

Champions League final is a big deal, and if your country is reppin then its even bigger, so obviously there was a big crowd wanting to watch the match. Joey G rounded up his boys, and his little sis, who I have dubbed Juli G, rounded up her crew as well (was all dudes, but chill peeps so I was ok). We all mobbed down to the local sports bar, where they had a ton of big screens to catch the game. Our group got two prime tables right in front...and the night begins...but with what seemed to be a slow start. The two tables were not united, and things just needed to be kicked up a notch. SO, I pulled a trick from the Brandon Schaefer guide to kicking it. Tip# 21: Sharing is caring and booze be the catalyst for success! Luckily the answer was simple. This bar had these huge beer tubes as pictured below, so the obvious choice was 2 tubes for the tables and a race challenge...gold! I think this really got it going, and it made me blew chips. Excellent indicator for tightness. Ps. At this point The Biz was there, but I couldnt understand a word of what he was trying to talk. faded.

After the sports bar, unfortunately Bayern lost, we all mobbed to the city center for some more party. Shots of Jaeger, hard core german techno pop, and scream-dancing all lead to me sleeping on a park bench in fetal position. I will also mention, though not confirmed, making a fool of myself to that list of things that happened after the sports bar.

3. Sunday
Woke in the morning feeling like P. Diddy.....more like 3 day old ass crack, but the show must go on. (Much thanks though to Joey G, Sarah, Heike, Sonja, Florian, and of course the Biz for some good kicking it!) I did my farewells and hopped on a train back to Karlsruhe to meet up with my bros Tobias and Stephan. Toby and Stephan were also doing their internships in Singapore, the group before Joey and the crew, and both actually lived with me for a few months. On the train ride my body was feeling all sorts of torn and brutalized...the whole time I was thinking, "I hope these guys in Karlsruhe just want to have a nice relaxed time." Obviously I knew this would not be on the agenda.

These guys had big plans and it included the annual Bierfest or Beer party at the local brewery, home of Hoepfner Bier. My body was crushed, but my heart was happy. Some good traditional beer, food, and german folk music. I came here for business so thats what I got down to. I loaded the body with sausages, spatzle, hamburgers (yes, original from Germany), and maultaschen to prepare the body for some brew. I swear German food is made to protect the body cause surprisingly I lasted the whole night drinking, and even made my way to the local gentlemans club in Karlsruhe...

(photo above is the brewery..is that not sick. The homie Stephan laughed at me when I called it a castle...fuck you im from the US, and to me thats a castle)

Back to the G Club...at this point it was just Toby, me, and Tobys homie Tristan cause Stephan is a good boy and did not take part in the late night activities. *cough* pussy *cough* He lucked out though cause the club was bunk. Some Eastern Euro hag was trying to charge 50euro just to sit next to me, smoke cigis, and drink diet coke. Not tight! So the rest of the night was 3 drunk dudes walking around the city trying to find Stephans apartment. And when we finally found it we couldnt get in cause Stephans drunk ass wouldnt wake up to open the door. An expensive cab ride back to Tristans place where we all curbed out. Oh yeah, Tobias puked hard in the bushes...

So there you have it. My weekend in Germany! I would have to call it a success...but I admit it feels good to be back in Singapore and resting the body.

below is a video of some nice German rap to vibe to. I heard this one in the club, and it beats. So if you havent gotten out of that high school phase and still have sub woofers in your ride, I recommend this song.
